Read Acts 20:7-12
Have you ever gone to small group and talked about God, the Bible, Jesus or what He’s done in your life until it was midnight?
I had one group of ladies who loved to talk for hours together about the things of God. It was such a blessing. I love hearing how God is working in other people’s lives.
Conversely, have you ever been so worn out, that no matter what you couldn’t keep your eyes open. I have been in this place too. I ran myself ragged, to the point of exhaustion trying to meet everyone’s needs. I remember being so tired I could sleep through anything. In today’s reading, we see a fellow, Eutychus, who looks like he come sleep through anything too! In fact while he slept he fell out of a third story window! Ouch!
Paul, who was the one doing most of the talking saw what happened and raced to Eutychus’ aid. He embraced him. Paul also encouraged and comforted the crowd saying, “Don’t trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.”
After caring for the poor guy who fell out the window and comforting those frightened by it, Paul goes back in eats and talks until midnight! When God has a message to share, not even a near death experience will keep Paul from sharing it.
What about you? Has God giving you something to share? What’s holding you back from sharing it?
