Read John 10:1-18
Jesus is speaking to his disciples, the Pharisees and the Jews. He is teaching about the One Shepherd, one flock, false shepherds, and those who don’t care for the sheep.
He says things like, “I am the door,” “I am the good shepherd,” “I lay down my life.”
The sheep follow only the good shepherd. All others are thiefs and robbers who seek to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
Jesus came so we may have life more abundantly. Jesus knows us. He layed down his life for us. He took up his life again to prove he is God. He teaches us to flee from all who do not follow Jesus as their shepherd.
Have you considered who your shepherd is? Are you following Him?
Jesus thank you for leading us in truth and righteousness. Thank you for your care. In your name we pray. Amen.
