Identify the character traits of the disciples of Jesus. Have your small group beginning reading through the gospel accounts, with a special eye on the disciples. Have them look for traits of the disciples.
You might assign one book to each member or a pair of members of your small group. Have them look for character attributes of every disciple they come across in that book. Have them write down the scripture reference and the character trait they saw.
This exercise might take several meetings to work through. It is also a great way to get your small group members reading God’s Word outside of small group time.
Take your time. The discovery process takes time. Once everyone has had a few days to review, come together as a small group to discuss what they found.
After everyone has shared what they found, see if you can get everyone to agree to a most important character traits they found.
