Psalm 17:2 Let my vindication come from Your Presence; Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright.
Proverbs 17:24 Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding, but the eyes of the fool are on the ends of the earth.
Luke 12:42-48 For everyone to whom much is given from him much is required; and to whom much has been committed of him they will ask the more.
Everything we have is a gift from God. As with gifts, we give to each other, we expect the gift to be used. The same goes for the gifts God gives. He wants us to use what’s been given to us.
Jesus mentioned people don’t light a lamp and hide it under a basket. No. The lamp is lit for all to see. And so it is with the gifts gives to us.
Our gifts are not for us alone. These gifts are meant to help others, to build up the body of Christ, and to reflect the glory of God.
“Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he come.” Luke 12:43
As we wait for our Master to return we ought to be about His business. Using our gifts, ministering, helping others. And when we do, then we will be wise and understanding servants.
Thank you, Father God, for your gifts. For allowing us to join your work. Help us be good stewards of all you’ve given us. In Jesus’ name Amen.
