How glorious you are Lord! Surely I could not stand face to face with you. I would be as unstable as water. This morning’s sunrise is spectacular. The orange, red, yellow, and pink painted across the early morning sky are breathtaking. Every glimpse gets more beautiful. Now there’s purple showing through. It is a blessing to witness.
Your faithfulness shines with the sunrise each day. Your love is never extinguished. Your mercy endures forever.
As I watch the gorgeous sunrise through the trees, I am reminded of all that hinders me from seeing the full expression of you. I see small glimpses now, but one day I will see you face to face. There are many burdens that threaten and block your glorious rays from reaching my heart.
I know this not your desire. In every difficult time it should be a path to your peaceful existence. A reminder of how broken we are, the world is, and of our need to be rescued. Insecurity, fear, doubt, persecution, oppression, disappointment, rejection, anger, lost dreams, grief, health issues, relational problems, debt and on and on these things stand before me to cast shadows in front of your glory, your pathway to life, your presence of peace, your will for me, and the joy your want me to experience.
Though I wish those trees were gone that I might see the entire picture you paint I know they cannot stop or dampen your perfect plan for me. Your plan will prevail. All you ask is for me to believe it. Thank you, Lord, for your kindness. In Jesus’ precious name I pray Amen.
